英検一級受かったくらいで満足してちゃいけない、どんどん追い越される～😂
と思い、私も自分なりに目標を立てて学習は続けています！
しばらく地味に私が対策で書いた作文原稿を掲載していきます。
〇文社から出ている対策本の模範解答は立派過ぎて・・・気後れする😥
こんなの書けない！😭と思ったのは多分私だけではないと思うので、これくらいでも合格ラインには行く、と言う一例として読んでいただけたら嬉しいです。英検準備中は引っ越しがあったり、PCが死にかけたりの怒涛の日々で、作文原稿のデータが残っていませんでした。。。
まあ、復習も兼ねてタイプし直すかなあ、みたいな作業なので、あと八週間！と焦っている皆様のほんの少しでも参考になればとできる範囲で掲載いたします。興味ない方はどんどん飛ばしてくださいね！
Topic: Is global overpopulation a serious threat to the future of mankind?
人口増加は人類の未来の脅威となるか？
I believe that global overpopulation is a threat to the future of humankind for three reasons.
Firstly, overpopulation will definitely cause a housing shortage. Even today, unfortunately, though the gap between wealthier countries and poorer countries is being filled, a number of people still live under difficult circumstances.
I used to work as a project coordinator in a developing country, assisting NGOs to implement their development projects. I visited hundreds of people whose houses were in terrible conditions as many of them didn’t have running water, sewage or bathrooms.
Furthermore, natural disasters like wildfires, typhoons and earthquakes destroy numerous houses and people lose their places to live.
Secondly, we cannot expand medical capacity for more people. Due to the pandemic of Covid19, many medical facilities are overcrowded, and personnel are up to their limit. Vaccines haven’t proven their effectiveness and safety yet. Nevertheless, medicine is advancing, there are many diseases still incurable. On top of that, a lot of people are dying in poverty as they don’t have enough resources to receive the necessary treatments.
Finally, overpopulation will harm the environment further. Prior to the pandemic, the damage to the earth was deeply concerning. Misfortune of the coronavirus has shown us how much we had been damaging our planet as we found many touristic places regained their beauty since the state of emergency was issued. It means that, up to 2020, we had already exceeded the edge.
Considering these factors and reality, in conclusion, I am convinced that overpopulation is surely a threat to the future of humankind. (258 words)
