今日も勇気を出して😅英検一級作文原稿を掲載します。なぜこのトピックを今日載せる気になったかと言うと・・・
恐らくこのようなトピックを考えたことがある方の方が少ない（笑）と思ったからです。
よく言われること：
「一級の作文や面接はトピック自体が難しすぎる」
「考えたことがなかったトピックが多い」
「こんなトピック、日本語でも書けない・語れない」
私がなかなか一級を受験することすら考えなかった理由の一つはここにあります。もう一つはご存じの通り単語の問題でした。
まずは興味のある、書きやすいテーマから始めて少しずつ苦手なものに進んでいくのがおススメですが、とにかく「問題に出るんだから書くしかない！」と思って、だいたい一通りの分野の作文は書いてみたつもりです。皆さんも考えたことがないこと、準備不足のテーマについて書く時にどう切り抜けるか、を意識して作文対策をされると良いと思います。
私はこの「大量破壊兵器を禁止することは可能か？」は、長い人生の中で大量破壊兵器自体についてあまり考えたことがなかったし、英語でこう言うのだと言うことさえ知りませんでした。だから"mass destructive weapons"と途中で勝手に言い換えてオーストラリア人友人に怒られました😂
いわく「こらこら、これはこういう言い方しかできないんだよ（まったく・・・）。言い換えるとしたら略称のWMDしかないよ」ちょっと「しょうがないなぁ」と言う雰囲気がありましたが、教えてくれてありがとう。聞かぬは一生の恥。
それに加えて、最近のウクライナ情勢を見て「去年の今頃（実際には５月ごろから）にはこんなトピックは非現実的すぎたけど、今となってはニュースで核兵器だの大量無差別殺人が新聞やテレビで報道されていて、現実のものになっている😫」そんな危機感からこのトピックを選びました。悲しいことですが、ニュースを聞き、新聞を読んでいらっしゃる皆さんならこんな論点のぼんやりした稚拙な作文でなく、もっと知的で内容のあるものを書いてくださると信じています。Fingers crossed！！
Topic: Is a worldwide ban on weapons of mass destruction an attainable goal?
It is obvious that we must not allow the acquisition of weapons of mass destruction. The first thing that comes to mind is surely the fact that the atomic bombs were dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. As a result, more than 500,000 people died up to today. It may be very difficult and it would take time, but I am convinced that it is possible to ban weapons of mass destruction for three reasons.
Firstly, though it can cause too much harm to millions and billions of lives in a second, even after the tragedy of Japan, there are many countries that hold them. Once the outbreak of Covid19 was recognized, we have doubts that it might be one of those weapons. At least it reminded us how dangerous such a weapon can be.
Secondly, as people are learning about problems on the earth, like racial discrimination, global warming and gender equality, more people are enthusiastic about improving situations on our planet. Many activists and politicians are working on advocating and enlightening civilians.
Finally, since we are struggling to survive with the Covid19, the production or improvements in such weapons have low priority in most countries. We need to focus on basic needs, improving the quality of life and how to overcome this pandemic.
In conclusion, considering these factors, I believe that we can reach authentic world peace and ban weapons of mass destruction. (234 words)
